TUF 10 contestant Mike Wessel arrested for first-degree terroristic threatening

MMA fighter and former TUF contestant Mike Wessel was arrested Sunday Morning in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Wessel, 32, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and first-degree terroristic threatening after he and five other fighters allegedly caused a disturbance at a local pub.

Officer David Stout was first on the scene where he witnessed Wessel charge a crowd in front of the pub. He restrained the fighter and took him to the Craighead Country Detention Center.

On the way to the station Mike became wild and began making death threats towards the officers

“Several jailers and a deputy arrived and placed [Wessel] into the restraint chair,” McClard read from Stout’s police report. “He began making death threats toward me and my family, and said that he was going to kill me and my kids.”

Mike Wessel is best known for being on TUF season 10 as a member of Rashad Evans team. His stay was short as he was eliminated by Marcus Jones in their Preliminary Fight. After the show Wessel was not invited back to the UFC and has dropped two back to back losses.
