Top 5 Recent UFC Events

It’s been a wild year for the UFC so far, with stacked events frequenting on PPV (pay-per-view) and Fight Pass/FOX cards for the past eight months. New champions have been crowned, legacies made and destroyed in the blink of an eye, and some of the most bone-crunching, jaw-smashing finishes in the promotion’s 22-year history.

So which event has been the best? Many believe that UFC 189 has been the best PPV card of the year thus far, and also that Fight Night Boetsch vs. Henderson takes the best free card title thus far. UFC 190 was saved by Ronda Rousey, but I personally find it hard to rank that card above others simply for the one 34-second fight’s value.

Two titles were on the line at UFC 187, and that’s one of my personal favorites for the year, as well as the obvious UFC 189 madness, also from Las Vegas. Rory MacDonald and Robbie Lawler put on a welterweight title war for the ages, possibly the greatest 170-pound championship fight of all time, and Conor McGregor beat Chad Mendes in the co-main event.
