Tim Kennedy Sends Warning To Shogun Rua
Tim Kennedy Twitter trolling? Surely not……..
UFC light-heavyweight Mauricio Shogun Rua is having a pretty lousy week; after getting squashed by Ovince St-Preux at UFC Fight Night 56 in front of his home crowd, the former Pride FC middleweight kingpin is probably feeling pretty burnt out. Since the weekend, much of the talk surrounding Rua is regarding the future of his apparently flailing career.
After hinting a possible move to middleweight, it seems Shogun is only too aware that his career is headed in the wrong direction right now. That being said, UFC middleweight Tim Kennedy doesn’t think 185 is the place for the Brazilian:
Somebody tell Shogun that it is a VERY bad idea to move down to 185. It is a total shark tank down here and we will all eat him up.

After compiling a 6-8 record as a light-heavyweight, it seems that time is finally starting to catch up with Rua. His battles in Pride FC seemingly starting to take their toll, would a move to middleweight make any difference? Judging by his recent physique at 205 pounds, it would at least help trim a few unneeded pounds from his gut.
Perhaps Tim Kennedy Twitter trolling Rua is less of a warning, and more of a welcoming tactic. After losing to Yoel Romero at UFC 178, albeit controversially, the US Ranger may just be setting himself up in a fight with a real legend of the sport….
