Three Of Anthony Pettis’ Cars Set Ablaze & Exploded Outside Home
It has not been a good day for Anthony Pettis.
Just one day after getting his next fight inside of the Octagon booked, ‘Showtime’ returned home earlier today (October 27, 2016) to find three of his vehicles set on fire outside his Milwaukee home.
One witness of the fire (courtesy of FOX 6 Milwaukee) said that he saw a car speeding away from the neighborhood before noticing the fire after hearing a ‘large bang’:
“I saw a car speeding through the neighborhood,” said Carson Blaszak, a witness to the fire.
“Right around the same time as that happened, there was kind of a large bang,” Blaszak said. “It was three cars caught on fire. I just, I ran outside, and I was hoping, you know, the house hopefully wasn’t gonna catch on fire.”
Police believe that the fire was started via an accelerant on two vehicles, causing the flames to spread to the third car. Another of Pettis’ neighbors, who deems the former lightweight champ as a good neighbor, also commented on the incident:
“As he’s screaming that the house is on fire. Of course, you jump outta bed and you can’t believe your eyes to see what you’re, you know, that it’s real,” said Bunny Blaszak, a witness to the fire.
“Very friendly. See him running around, jogging around,” Bunny Blaszak said.
Although Pettis may have lost his three vehicles, neighbor Carson Balszak is happy that the local fire and police department reacted to the situation so quickly:
“Luckily, the police department and fire department were able to get here very quickly and took care of it and everyone was safe,” said Carson Blaszak.
FOX 6 reports that one of Pettis’ brothers stated that ‘Showtime’ is trying to process what has happened and is refusing to do any interviews at this time. We’ll keep you updated on the situation as we learn more.
