The UFC rings the bell on its busy season with UFC 194 this weekend. That card is headlined by a

featherweight unification title bout between current champion Jose Aldo and interim title holder

Connor McGregor. Here’s a look at that matchup and two more huge championship bouts on the

way for MMA bettors and some of the odds at the mma betting sites:

Jose Aldo (+125) vs. Connor McGregor (-155): UFC 194

It seems like forever since McGregor scaled the cage at UFC Fight Night 59 to challenge Aldo

following his victory over Dennis Siver, laying the ground work for this matchup. However, Aldo

would suffer a rib injury before their first scheduled bout at UFC 189 and McGregor would absorb a

knee injury against Aldo’s replacement Chad Mendes, further pushing back this fight.

Fans finally get these 145-pound warriors in the cage Saturday night, with Aldo’s ring rust – first

fight since October 2014 – and McGregor’s KO power – finishing 16 of his 18 fight by KO – giving the

Irishman the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the oddsmakers.

Fabricio Werdum (+115) vs. Cain Velasquez (-145)

Werdum stunned MMA bettors with a submission win over heavyweight title holder Velasquez at

UFC 188 this summer, unifying his interim title with the actual UFC heavyweight strap. While no

rematch has been officially etched in stone, Velasquez has spent plenty of breath pleading for a

shot at redemption.

Breaking down the UFC schedule, it would seem that the likely card to feature this title fight would

be the UFC 200 event, which is scheduled for July 9, 2016. That’s a long time between bouts for

these fights, having last met in June 2015.

Holly Holm (+147) vs. Ronda Rousey (-180)

Boy, have the odds changed since the last time these UFC bantamweights battled. Holm stunned

Rousey – the undefeated women’s champion and face of the sport – with a knockout in the second

round via a vicious head kick, entering that UFC 188 fight as a 100/1 underdog.

No official rematch has been made, and it might be some time before fight fans get it. Rousey is

busy with film and endorsement projects, and her camp says they have plenty of work to do on her

boxing before getting back in the cage. Holm may find herself another challenger before Rousey is

ready.
