The Eagle Signs On With Reebok
It seems as if sports apparel giant, and UFC partner, Reebok has snatched up its latest fighter, as it has been reported that perennial lightweight contender, and undefeated Dagestani-wrestler Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov has inked a solo deal with the company.
Reebok announced the signing via their official twitter account:

Nurmagomedov joins a lucrative list of fighters with solo Reebok deals which includes Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, Anthony Pettis, Johny Hendricks, and Paige VanZant. Of course every UFC fighter is now outfitted with Reebok uniforms, but only these aforementioned athletes have their own deals with the company.
Currently sitting at No. 2 in the UFC’s 155-pound division, “The Eagle” has been sidelined for over a year and a half dealing with multiple injuries. He was scheduled numerous times to face off with now title challenger Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, but injuries repeatedly forced him out of these bouts.
However, Nurmagomedov will finally make his long-awaited, and highly-anticipated return this December, as it was recently announced that he will take on the surging No. 9-ranked Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 Finale which is set for December 11, 2015 in Las Vegas.
Ferguson has compiled six-straight wins including victories over Mike Rio, Katsunori Kikuno, Danny Castillo, Abel Trujillo, Gleison Tibau, and most recently Josh Thompson. Ferguson should be a solid test for Nurmagomedov upon “The Eagle’s” return, and Nurmagomedov will likewise present a true test to see where Ferguson is truly at.
Which lightweight will come out victorious, and continue their quest to a title shot?
