Stephan Bonnar loses Soszynski appeal

Stephan Bonnar and Krzystztof Soszynski met at UFC 110 in Sydney last month in a light heavyweight match up. The fight was stopped due to a cut obtained by Bonnar during a clash of heads but Bonnar had to suffer a loss as Soszynski was handed the TKO victory. Bonnar has since appealed to the NSW commission and news has now arrived that the appeal was denied and the fight remains a TKO loss for Bonnar.

Bonnar had this to say on the situation: ‘It was obviously a battle between me and (the NSW commission), but as far as the fight, Dana White‘s a fair guy, and I’m pretty confident we’ll have that rematch soon.’

Bonnar who is well known for his heart and determination, such as in the Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale battle against Forrest Griffin, is hopeful that he will get the rematch and it seems now that he will be appearing again on TUF this time on the card of the season 11 finale in Las Vegas June 19th. After dismal shows against Jon Jones and Mark Coleman, Bonnar will look to get his career back on track in this rematch. The setting ironically will be back where his career took off, The Ultimate Fighter show.
