According to the Russian’s manager, unbeaten middleweight contender, Shara Magomedov has agreed an offer to take on welterweight striker, Michael Venom Page in a blockbuster pairing at a UFC Saudi Arabia event on February 1. next.

Magomedov, who cracked the middleweight top-15 rankings, most recently landed his fourth consecutive Octagon victory last month at UFC 308, stopping Armenian striker, Armen Petrosyan with an innovative double spinning-back fist knockout in Abu Dhabi.

As for Page, the former Bellator MMA title challenger has so far competed twice in the UFC since his move to the promotion – most recently in June, dropping his first organizational loss in the form of a unanimous decision defeat to unbeaten Irish challenger, Ian Garry.

And according to Shara Magomedov’s manager, Rizvan Magomedov, the Russian striking star has agreed to fight British striking talent, Page as soon as February – with the promotion set to host their sophomore UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia card.

“Sharaputdin (Shara Magomedov) will fight on February 1. in Saudi Arabia,” Rizvan Magomedov told, as per Russian outlet, TASS. “We have agreed to the fight against (Michael Venom) Page.”

News of Magomedov’s decision to agree to a fight with London Shootfighters mainstay comes off the back of a surprising call out from the Brit, who claimed he would move to the middleweight limit to accommodate an eye-catching battle.

“Actually — I just forgot his first name [Shara] which is terrible — Magomedov,” Michael ‘Venom’ Page said. “He just fought and did the double spanning-back knuckle knockout. Then he called out my boy, Izzy (Israel Adesanya), Mate, I’m at that weight right now, you don’t even have to wait that long.”

“That one [fight] there, I’ll just take that straight away just for the fun of it,” Michael ‘Venom’ Page continued. “That’s what I’m weighing at [185 pounds] — that’s what I’m grappling at right now. So, I’m in shape now ready to go now. That’s a good fight for me. I think — just a nice stand-up fight for everybody, just to come back to the game. And like I said, leave my boy, Izzy alone. He’s trying to get back to the throne. I’ll take his place.”
