With the unfortunate news that Frank Mir was forced to withdraw from his November 3rd bout with Daniel Cormier in Strikeforce, a search for a new opponent ensues. An accomplished Heavyweight without a fight currently scheduled has stepped and said he would like the fight. That man is none other than Fabricio Werdum, the fighter who put an end to the legendary win streak of Fedor Emelianenko and has most recently been seen in the UFC destroying Roy Nelson and Mike Russow. Former UFC champion Frank Shamrock makes no bones about his beef with UFC President Dana White. Now that he has anew book coming out soon, it appears that he is becoming more outspoken than usual, which is quite substantial. Shamrock takes the stance of the lesser majority in that he sides completely with Jon Jones regarding the UFC debacle:

Suspended since last November, UFC veteran and fan-favorite Chris “The Crippler” Leben’s timetable for a return to the Octagon has been unknown until now. Leben has apparently finished the rehab program furnished for him by the UFC after failing a drug test for painkillers, and will make his return at UFC 155 to face Czech fighter Karlos Vemola. The fight will round out the six-bout main card, which will take place December 29th from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion and outspoken fan-favorite Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been ruled out of UFC 153, as per an announcement made by Dana White earlier today. The exact specifications of Jackson’s injury remain a mystery but he will be unable to face Glover Texeira nonetheless. White took to Twitter to announce the bad news:
