With the acquisition of Strikeforce, UFC becomes to complete dominator, the biggest Goliath, the brand with the biggest nuts, the promotion that will propel MMA to the world popularity heights of Football (Soccer) and the sport that I for sure will keep at the top of my list of priorities (sometimes even above my woman – when she pisses me off – lol).
With this brings to mind, what could happen to Strikeforce 2 years from now…. Here is my view.
I believe Strikeforce will not become the next Pride and
Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and the young phenom Jon “Bones” Jones will headline the stacked UFC 128 fight card, set to take place March 19th from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The co-main event will feature a Bantamweight showdown between top contenders Uriah Faber and Eddie Wineland, while Nate Marquardt looks to start his climb back up the Middleweight ladder against Yoshihiro Akiyama and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic takes on rising Heavyweight prospect Brendan Schaub.

Rankings have become a mess in MMA. Some folks like myslef want to use wins over quality competition as the main means to judge fighters at the top of the game (rankings wise). (OK, Julia watch for the le-. Never mind. VidProps: ProMMANow.) What’s this? A fairly solid Strikeforce Challengers card that (for once)…
Frankie Edgar has overcome adversity and beaten the elite of his division and may finally be given the respect he deserves among the MMA community..
The words “pound for pound” can be interpreted anyway you would like. But as MMA fans I believe we all have the general idea. Whether you believe it has more to do with weight or with skill. you know how powerful the term is. To call someone the best pound for pound fighter in the world means you believe they are the best fighter that is walking on this earth.
I believe that man is Anderson Silva. Although there are many fighters that are in the conversation I don’t see anyone who has
