Rampage Jackson injured, out of UFC 153 bout with Glover Texeira

Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion and outspoken fan-favorite Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been ruled out of UFC 153, as per an announcement made by Dana White earlier today. The exact specifications of Jackson’s injury remain a mystery but he will be unable to face Glover Texeira nonetheless. White took to Twitter to announce the bad news:

We reported earlier that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson had a few things to say about fellow UFC fighter, Chael Sonnen. Particularly that Jackson wanted Sonnen to retire like he said he would in a challenge to Anderson Silva. Chael Sonnen was quick to respond on FUEL TV’s UFC Tonight, and running true to form, he fired right back at Rampage. He did it in Sonnen style with a classic setup: “‘Rampage’ has one fight left it is not against me. I give you this answer because
