UFC on FX 3 is over and delivered a very exciting main card. Ian McCall and Demetrious Johnson began tentatively until Johnson scored a double leg. McCall got up and pressed forward, but ate a huge right hand from Johnson. The two fighters got into a transitioning scramble as the first round wound down. Ian McCall continued to stalk Johnson as the second round began, and took him down. McCall land a nice combination, seemingly finding his range. Had an error not been made, the UFC would have been scheduling their first Flyweight title fight. Instead, they are in a spot where they are booking a rematch between Ian McCall and Demetrious Johnson.
McCall and Johnson will meet on June 8 on the UFC on FX 3 fight card. As of now the event does not have a location, that will be determined by the UFC’s “Hometown Throwdown” contest that is being run in conjunction with Harley Davidson.
