Dana White: Dan Henderson is next in line for 205 title shot

According to UFC President Dana White, he has offered Dan Henderson two fights since he defeated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 139, which took place at San Jose’s HP Pavilion. White has stated that Henderson has turned down both of those fights.
For his part Henderson has made it clear that he is only interested in a title shot, at either middleweight or light heavyweight.
Earlier this week, White announced that he would capitulate to Henderson’s desires, but made it clear that

Dana White: Chael Sonnen has accepted the fight with Anderson Silva

The UFC recently announced that Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen would meet in the main event of UFC 147, which will take place at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dana White: Not a fan of a proposed half point scoring system

One thing that almost everyone in MMA can agree on is the fact that the refereeing and judging leaves a lot to be desired. The ten point must system that was adopted from the world of boxing jsut doesn’t seem to cut it in the world of MMA, but the solution to that problem doesn’t seem to be an easy one.  One of the ideas that has been floated is a point system based on half point increments and not full points.
When the system was mentioned to UFC president Dana White he didn’t seem to be too

Dana White: I am beyond disappointed in Nick Diaz

UFC President Dana White returned to the United States today after spending time in Brazil filming the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” White was probably looking forward to spending some decompressing from his hectic schedule when he returned to Vegas, instead he was faced with Nick Diaz testing positive during his UFC 143 drug tests.

Matt Hughes looking at UFC return will let Dana White make the final decision

The last time we saw UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes in the Octagon he was waking up and asking what happened after being knocked out by Josh Koscheck at UFC 135. Following that fight Hughes said he was asking that the UFC “put him on a shelf” for a while.
It seems as if it has gotten a little lonely for the former UFC Champion up on that shelf as Hughes is thinking about getting back in the mix.  During an interview on Fuel TV, Hughes had the following to say, “I think Dana could be

Dana White guarantees MMA in New York this year

The UFC’s struggles to get MMA sanctioned in the State of New York are well documented. The promotion has tried and failed to get the sport legalized through legislative means in the past. Near the end of 2011, the UFC took things one step further and filed a lawsuit against the State, claiming that denying MMA fighters the right to compete was a violation of their First Amendment right.
Despite the promotion’s ongoing struggles, UFC President Dana White recently made a bold statement regarding

Dana White: Miguel Torres handled his business like a man, Torres rejoins UFC

Earlier this month former WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres posted the following on his twitter account:
“If a rape van was called a surprise van more women wouldn’t mind going for rides in them. Everyone likes surprises.”
The tweet, a line from Comedy Central program, “Workaholics” earned him an abrupt release from the UFC.  Today it was announced that Torres had been reinstated to the UFC.
