Hot on the heels of his heated words from the UFC 148 media conference call, UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva shows a rarely seen side of himself in a video from FoxSports.com. Stating that he is ready to go for a big war, he believes that he would have finished Chael Sonnen in the first round at UFC 117 were it not for his broken rib. We have seen endless trash talk from Sonnen leading up to this fight, now we are starting to see more and more from the usually calm and reserved Brazilian champion.
Today the UFC 148 media conference call took place and had some great quotes from the combatants involved, as well as some comments from Dana White. Of course the always entertaining Chael Sonnen was on hand to spread his word, and the UFC Middleweight challenger also spoke out against his longtime rival. Normally we do not see Anderson Silva become so animated about an opponent, it appears this fight has become personal for him. Silva had the following quotes about the blockbuster UFC 148 main
Chael Sonnen comes out with his usual strong words in a video from UFC.com today, stating that he will find a way to win versus Anderson Silva at UFC 148. He believs the Middleweight championship bout will not be about skill, but rather about who is the tougher will fighter, and who wants it the most. Sonnen addresses all of the hops he has jumped through to get his rematch with Silva, and likens his opponent to that one guy in the office everyone wants to beat up but can’t. A frank, funny way to get the
Vinny Magalhães has been helping Chael Sonnen on his jujitsu techniques prior to Sonnen’s rematch against Anderson Silva at UFC 148 which takes place on July 7, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Magalhães believes Sonnen will submit Silva in the fight. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, the former M-1 champion said: “I am guaranteeing a submission. Chael is going to do what he did in their first fight, but this time he is going to finish.”The ever-outspoken Sonnen has in the past, openly made fun of
Today Chael Sonnen appeared before the Nevada State Athletic Commission in a bid to gain a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for his well-documented use of TRT. His request was indeed granted, and it appears that his UFC 148 Middleweight title bout with Anderson Silva will go down will much less controversy than their previous encounter. Of course Sonnen was suspended for six months following his UFC 117 loss after failing to inform the CSAC of his usage. This time, though, Sonnen is in the clear

Chael Sonnen stepped into a realm that he is not unfamiliar with this week, and came out victorious. Appearing on The Jim Rome Show, Sonnen participated in Rome’s annual Smackoff against five other ranters, winning the competition with his endless creative smack talk.
However, Sonnen did not win the contest by utilizing his go-to targets of Anderson Silva and Brazil, in fact he did not mention them at all. Instead he went to the well and created a new rant, touching on many subjects in the sports world.
Last week we saw a rare calm interview with Chael P. Sonnen. This week he is back to his fight-promoting ways. In this video excerpt from TSN’s “Off the Record,” Sonnen explains his personal trainer from his last 3 fights, former WWE champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Apparently Sonnen asked Austin for advice when he was heded down to Brazil as public enemy number one, somthing that has since been changed with his bout versus Anderson Silva now in Las Vegas, NV. Of course Sonnen adds his own theatrics to
In his lengthy interview courtesy of bleacherreport.com, Chael Sonnen sounds off on several subjects, including the media advancement that has taken place in MMA and the issue of sportsmanship and respect within the sport, be it fighter or media-based. He explains his highly controversial defense of Alistair Overeem, saying that something does not become true just because the media believes it to be. He sticks by the stance that Overeem did not fail the test for anything specific. Sonnen believes that TRT
