Dana White: Brock Lesnar said he retired because Alistair Overeem was that much better than him

Speaking via “The Jim Rome Show,” UFC President Dana White discusses the short-lived career, and subsequent retirement, of former Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. White reveals details of his post-UFC 141 conversation with Lesnar, and says that, while it was “fun” having him around, he does not expect the former WWE star to make a return to MMA.

Brock Lesnar: A farewell to the former UFC Heavyweight Champ

If the words he spoke on Saturday night are to be believed, we have seen the last of Brock Lesnar in the Octagon.  In an MMA career that spanned just eight fights he accomplished more than some fighters do over much lengthier careers. Could Brock Lesnar’s victory over Alistair Overeem make him one of the greatest Heavyweights ever?

Brock Lesnar has had a funny UFC career, not “ha ha” funny, but more scratch your head and wonder funny.  He started his MMA career  with a win over the then 2-5 Min Soo Kim and apparently that was enough to warrant a UFC contract and a shot against a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Frank Mir. Mir, coming off an impressive submission win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, offered his take on the upcoming bout between Lesnar and Alistair Overeem. The heavyweight scrap between Lesnar and Overeem will be the main event

Brock Lesnar pleads guilty to hunting charges

Former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar found himself with an unwanted distraction last week when it was announced that he was facing charges in Alberta, Canada relating to a hunting trip he took in November 2010.
Today, a lawyer representing Lesnar, was able to put the case behind him with a guilty plea to one count of improper tagging of an animal.  Lesnar was fined $1,725 and given a six-month hunting suspension. Two other charges, spoiling of skin and edible flesh as well as possession of a
