Frank Mir used TRT while training for UFC 146

News recently broke that UFC 146 Heavyweight title challenger Frank Mir had received a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) prior to the bout. Confirmed by NSAC commissioner Keith Kizer, Mir was said to have T:E levels of roughly 1:1. This is a far cry from Alistair Overeem’s levels, the man whom he replaced in the bout. Overeem did not use TRT as a defense for his failed drug test and registered at 14:1 T:E levels.

Jon Jones enters guilty plea on DWI charge (Update)

This morning, UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones appeared in a Binghamton, New York courtroom to enter a guilty plea for his recent driving while intoxicated arrest. The plea stems from an early morning of May 19th arrest in which Jones crashed his 2012 Bentley into a pole. City Court Judge Daniel Seiden handed down a punishment that included an alcohol dependency counseling program and of course a suspended driver’s license.

Michael Bisping vs. Tim Boetsch officially set for UFC 149 in Calgary

This morning, news broke that the previously scheduled UFC 148 bout of Michael Bisping vs.Tim Boetsch has been officially moved to the UFC 149 card in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally thought to be part of the UFC 148 blockbuster card on July 7 in Las Vegas, Bisping will now try to work his way closer to his coveted title shot in Canada. He confirmed the news via Twitter.com earlier today:
