It looks like if Nick Diaz does indeed make his return to the UFC Octagon, his long called-for title shot will have to wait until he beats a top-level opponent. Last seen in a razor-thin and controversial loss to Carlos Condit last February, Diaz stated he would retire from MMA. Either way, he was put on hold when he failed a test for marijuana metabolites, prompting his much-publicized battle and subsequent suspension with the NSAC. Dana White recently revealed the following:

How the hell did we go from Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen not happening and UFC 151 being cancelled to Sonnen and Jones coaching TUF and fighting on April 27, 2013? What about that Silva-Jones super fight?
Even though UFC Lightweight champion Benson Henderson has only defended his belt once (and in a highly controversial decision), he has his sights set on becoming the best fighter in UFC history. Apparently, Henderson has undergone some flack for setting his goal too high. He stated the following in an interview with MMAWeekly:
“I want to be the best ever and one of my goals is to break Anderson’s record for title defenses. I’m sorry, I apologize if I offended you somehow, but I do have

Surrounding UFC 152, the Canadian newspaper Toronto Sun released an article that portrayed the UFC as a declining product, featuring many criticisms to back up its assertion. One main tenet of the article believed that the UFC is losing ground in Canada, mainly Toronto, a place where it has been quite popular for some time. Another aspect of the article focused on the five main draws of UFC pay-per-views, citing retired former Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar as the top man. The article also insinuated
Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans has had a lot to say about tomorrow’s title fight between Jon Jones and Vitor Belfort, and with good reason. For one, Jones is his former training partner and student who eventually rose to a level high enough to defeat Evans at UFC 145. On the other hand, Evans has been enlisted by Belfort to be his head coach heading into tomorrow’s main event. Should Belfort win, Evans may find himself in a compromising position were he to choose to continue chasing the

If you’re an MMA fan who’s been alive and on the internet these past few weeks, you’d have been witness to the ever changing landscape that is the UFC, which continues to provide us with enough drama to make Desperate House Wives look like a poetry reading. Dana White hit the nail on the head and said it best when he stated that life itself is exciting enough, and that he couldn’t possibly write a better script to make this business more interesting.
With that said, after a two week
Just as the announcement came that Chris Leben will make his awaited return at UFC 155 this December, it has been announced that two Middleweight contenders who have met before will face off at the year-end card. Alan Belcher, whose plans to fight Vitor Belfort at UFC 153 fell apart when he found out he had a spinal fracture and Belfort stepped in to fight Jon Jones at UFC 152, will face Yushin Okami in a rematch.
Interestingly enough, Belcher and Okami fought one another in their respective UFC
