Scott Coker Pulls Contract Card On Dana White Over Rampage
It looks like Dana White has ruffled a few feathers with all this news of Rampage re-signing to the UFC. It all started yesterday, when rumours swirled about the Pride FC veteran jumping ship from Bellator to rejoin Zuffa. We learned later in the evening that Jackson would return to the UFC, despite his current contract with Bellator MMA.
Does any of this sound ironic at all, given the fact that Wanderlei Silva wasn’t even allowed out to play at Dave and Buster’s with Viacom and co.? Contractuak issues are a hot topic given the recent lawsuit set out against the UFC, and Scott Coker wasn’t too amused by the news of Rampage trying to leave BMMA:
Let us be clear that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is under an exclusive contract with #BellatorMMA. We will protect our contractual rights

As usual the power is on the side of Dana White, but will he be looking to pay an extra fee to release Jackson from his contract? Scott Coker finally gave Eddie Alvarez his ticket to ride out to the UFC when he took over from Bjorn Rebney, but it doesn’t look like ‘Page will get the same treatment. We’ll keep you updated to the situation as it changes, but for now it looks like we don’t have the whole story just yet.
For the moment, check out the video of Rampage Jackson‘s interview with the FOX team last night at UFC Fight Night 58:
