Sage Northcutt Taking Break From Tristar Until January
According to Jeremy Botter of Bleacher Report, Sage Northcutt will be taking a break from Tristar gym, where he’s been working out for the last month.
Again, Northcutt will return to Tristar to train with @Firas_Zahabi, @rory_macdonald and GSP in January.

The UFC prospect was training hard for his upcoming fight against Cody Pfister at UFC Fight Night 80, but his father decided it was best for him to leave the gym due to the training. Original reports claimed Northcutt began tiring after a few days because of the pace that Tristar has with their training and it was too much for for him to handle. Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting had an update:

Northcutt defeated Francisco Trevino in a lightweight bout to start his UFC career at UFC 192; fans and media members alike have praised him for it and think he could be a megastar.
UFC Fight Night 80 takes place at the inside The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday, December 10th, 2015. This event will kick off a three-day stretch of events that will end at UFC 194.
With the event set to take place in just a matter of days, you have to wonder how this move will affect him come fight night. While he has knockout ability, there is always a possibility of this fight going the distance. That could play a huge factor into the fight and hurt the chances of the Northcutt winning the fight.
