Ronda Rousey Campaigns For ‘Captain Marvel’ Role On Instagram
With six straight dominant title defenses, undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has bulldozed her way to a role as the promotion’s biggest star in a mere two-and-a-half years.
She’s also parlayed that success into a potentially far more lucrative career in the form of her burgeoning move career. She’s appeared in prominent big budget Hollywood films such as “Entourage,” “The Expendables 3,” in addition to the upcoming “Athena Project” and “Mile 22,” but now she’s campaigning for an even bigger role.
After her star exploded to even greater proportions after her UFC 190 win over Bethe Correia on August 1, Rousey’s fans began sending her fan art depicting her as Marvel comics superheroine ‘Captain Marvel, ‘ a role that the MMA superstar seemingly wants to be a part of based on her post:
“Since the reddit AMA I’ve received so many badass Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel edits! There were so many cool ones I couldn’t pick just one to share – here’s 1 series of 2 Big thank you to contributing artists: @bosslogix (two on right) and @salman.artworks (left)”
Take a look at several portrayals of Rousey as Captain Marvel right here. Is this real-life superheroine ready to play one on the silver screen?
