Report: Ronda Rousey Nearing Agreement To Make UFC Return
It appears as though the wait to once again see ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey return to the UFC’s Octagon may finally be over.
According to a report from FOX Sports, Rousey has been offered a bantamweight title bout against current champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. No agreement has yet been made as of this writing.
Nunes has been teasing a big fight announcement on social media, and the timing with reports that Rousey is nearing a deal to return to fight the Brazilian champ couldn’t fit any better:

The bout is certainly an appealing one to UFC President Dana White, as he is confident that the former bantamweight queen will fight Nunes before year’s end:
“”Yes, there’s a big chance that Ronda Rousey will fight Amanda Nunes and I’m very confident that Ronda will probably fight before the end of the year,” White said.
Rousey (12-1) is coming off of the first loss in her professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career, when she suffered a second round knockout loss to Holly Holm in their championship meeting back in November of last year.
Nunes (13-4) is coming off of a first round knockout win over the now-former champ Miesha Tate in the main event of UFC 200 earlier this year.
The Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt is no slouch on the ground, and has some of the nastiest power in the women’s 135-pound division.
If reports of a return title fight for Rousey against Nunes are true, it is certainly a tall task for the former Olympic judoka. Stay with LowKick for the latest on Rousey’s potential return bout against ‘The Lioness’.
