Roughly three-and-a-half months after he failed to make weight for his proposed octagon debut at August 30’s UFC 177, Olympic gold medalist wrestler Henry Cejudo will have another chance to fight in his first UFC bout.

AZ Central reported that Cejudo, now fighting at bantamweight to avoid any weight cutting complications, will face Dustin Kimura at December 13’s UFC on FOX 13 from the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was hospitalized in Sacramento during his draining attempt to make weight prior to UFC 177, where he was scheduled to face veteran Scott Jorgensen. Cejudo claimed the Legacy FC flyweight title despite numerous similar bouts with making the division’s 125-pound limit.

Aside from his issues on the scale, the smothering wrestler brings an impressive resume to the UFC. He racked up six victories in a year to sit with an undefeated 6-0 record in MMA, and he’ll have the chance to breathe even more life into the suddenly flourishing UFC bantamweight division.

Kimura, on the other hand, was last seen dropping a decision to George Roop at April 16’s The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Nations from Quebec City, Quebec. He has a 2-2 record in the octagon, owning wins over Chico Camus and Jon Delos Reyes. Kimura’s only other UFC loss was s submission defeat at the hands of Mitch Gagnon, who will take on former champion Renan Barao in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 58 on December 20 from Brazil, one week after Cejudo’s debut.
