Rashad Evans plans to "get inside and unleash his stuff" on "long, rangy" Jon Jones

He’s a long, rangy fighter and I’m going to get inside, unleash my stuff, take him down and ground-and-pound him. I’m at a level in my career where I can take down and ground-and-pound anyone.

I’ve got the advantage mentally, too. He’s not ‘Jon Jones unbeatable champion’ to me. I know the real Jon, the nervous kid who would ask me to tell him how to dress, how to talk and how to fight. I know how he reacts when things don’t go his way, how he can’t handle it mentally.” – For more from Rashad Evans, visit 5thRound.com

Rashad Evans can ground and pound anyone – including Jon Jones.

That’s according to the former champ, who says that once he gets inside to “unleash his stuff,” it will be all downhill for “Bones” on April 21st.

Former teammates and training partners at Jackson’s MMA, their friendship quickly deteriorated into a well-documented rivalry. In the time since, Jones has captured and defended the Light Heavyweight strap against a trio of former champions, while Evans has reaffirmed his place as top contender with dominant victories over Phil Davis and Tito Ortiz.

Now set to settle their differences in the UFC 145 headlining bout, “Suga” assures that Jones is anything but an “unbeatable champion,” and says he is confident in his ability to ground and pound his “long, rangy” opponent. But, what do you think LowKick’ers? Will Evans’ “stuff” be enough to recapture the gold, or will Jones’ further cement his legacy in Atlanta?
