Quote: Ronda Rousey Is The Worst Public Female Image
Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to make her long awaited return to the Octagon when she meets current titleholder Amanda Nunes in the main event of Dec. 30’s UFC 207 – that is if the “Rowdy” one makes it to the cage, which former boxing champion Christy Martin isn’t sold on.
Rousey hasn’t competed since suffering a brutal knockout loss to Holly Holm at Nov. 2015’s UFC 193, and Martin feels as if she is the ‘worst public female image’, also taking a shot at Holm in a recent interview with Fight Hype:
“We will see if it happens. I would give anything if I were 10 years younger just to show her. I mean, are you kidding me? Holly Holm knocks you out? Holly Holm punches like a feather. Ronda Rousey, to me, is the worst public female image that we could ever have out there. Simply because she can not sit here and have an interview with you without cursing word after word after word. I mean, come on, we are out here to set an example for women, young women, young girls; for people in general. Talk like you are intelligent. When you have to use every other word with “f” this and “f” that, that shouts your lack of intelligence and your lack of vocabulary. Not only did she get her shit knocked out by a non-puncher, she’s a poor example for a person. I don’t think we will ever see her on December 30th unless Dana White has some serious contract on her that she can’t do anything else, including movies, commercials and so on unless she gets back in the ring. We will never see her in the ring again.”
Rousey has said that UFC 207 will mark one of the last fights of her career, so it’s likely that we won’t see much more of her, but do you see her making the walk at UFC 207, or do you agree with Martin?
