With the dust settled on last night’s (Sat., June 6, 2015) UFC Fight Night 68 from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, fans can now look back on what turned out to be one of the more exciting top-to-bottom cards in recent memory, extending the UFC’s run of stellar action in mid-2015.

Although it may not have looked like a blockbuster event whatsoever on paper, UFC Fight Night 68 featured an even mix of back-and-forth wars, jaw-dropping comebacks, innovative maneuvers (from a heavyweight, no less, creative submissions, and vicious knockouts to form a wholly well-rounded card that actually tied the UFC record for first round finishes with seven (including Brian Ebersole’s retirement due to a knee injury suffered versus Omari Akhmedov).

Maybe on any other old UFC Saturday, any one of the main card fights and some of the prelims would have been a shoo-in for the event’s post-fight bonuses, yet it was more than extremely hard to pick which performances were truly the best last night.
