Poirier vs. Jung on UFC on Fuel TV 3, will the winner fight Jose Aldo for the title?
The Main Event for UFC on FuelTV 3 is a fight you won’t want to miss. Dustin Poirier(12-1) will take on Chan Sung Jung (12-3) aka “The Korean Zombie” this Tuesday in Virginia.
Jung is coming off a seven-second knockout victory of Mark Hominick in December at UFC 140, which may be the second fastest knockout in the history of the UFC. Poirier has been on a winning streak since he moved to the Featherweight division.
Jung had claimed in a Twitter post back in February that he will beat Poirier quicker than he did Hominick.

Poirier told UFC Tonight’s Kenny Florian, that Jung: “will have a tough time getting me down”. Rumors have been flying that the winner of this match will go on to face Jose Aldo for the title. Poirier told MMA Weekly: “If I can finish the Zombie or beat him decisively, let’s see what happens.”
Chan told Chris Taylor in an interview 3 weeks ago: “I think the winner of this fight will probably be next in line for Aldo. With the timing and other considerations, it seems like it makes the most sense. I would love a shot at Aldo!”
Whether or not the winner goes on to a title fight, the match should prove interesting. Weigh-ins are tomorrow for Tuesday night’s fight.
“”We’re excited to head back to the Patriot Center again with another great night of fights, including a featherweight main event pitting Dustin Poirier against ‘The Korean Zombie,’” UFC President Dana White said in a press release. “Poirier and ‘The Korean Zombie’ are two of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. This is going to be a fun fight. From top to bottom, I will deliver for the fans in Virginia.”
