Pat Healy vs. Gleison Tibau Added To UFC Fight Night 45

UFC Fight Night 45 in Atlantic City is filling up quickly.

A pivotal matchup between lightweight’s Pat Healy and Gleison Tibau has been booked for the UFC’s return to Atlantic City in July.

UFC officials announced the booking earlier today. UFC Fight Night 45 takes place inside the Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The main event features another lightweight contest between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Jim Miller.

The full event will be available to watch on Fox Sports 1 and it is expected to be shown on UFC Fight Pass. Healy vs. Tibau will most likely be taking place on the main card.

Tibau will be hoping to get back in the win column at the event after suffering the most damaging loss of his UFC career; getting knocked out cold by Michael Johnson at UFC 168. The loss to Johnson snapped a two fight win steak for the Brazilian after taking wins over John Cholish and Jamie Varner.

The 30-year old has proven to be a tough challenge to everyone he has faced inside the Octagon so far but he has fallen flat when put against the divisions elite. Overall, Tibau is 6-4 in his last ten fights in the UFC.

Healy is also in desperate need of a win after falling short in his last three fights. Things started well in the UFC for the Strikeforce veteran, beating Jim Miller in a “Fight of the Night” war back in April. However, it all started to go wrong for Healy when the bout was ruled a no contest after he tested positive for marijuana in the post-fight drug test.

It has been all downhill from there for Healy, dropping his last three fights to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal. One more loss is easily enough for “Bam Bam” to be giving his wailing papers from the UFC.

With the additional booking, UFC Fight Night 45 now looks as followed:

Donald Cerrone vs. Jim Miller

Rick Story vs. John Howard

Gleison Tibau vs. Pat Healy

John Lineker vs. Alptekin Ozkilic

Hugo Viana vs. Aljamain Sterling
