UFC women’s flyweight competitor Paige VanZant is set to make her commentary debut on UFC Fight Pass.

VanZant, who turned 25 this week, will serve as color commentator for all upcoming M-1 Global events in the United States. She’ll be joined in the commentary booth by ex-Bellator play-by-play voice Sean Wheelock. VanZant had this to say about the opportunity (via MMA Junkie):

“I’m really excited for this opportunity to work as the color commentator for M-1 Global USA on UFC Fight Pass,” VanZant said. “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to showcase my skills on the other side of the microphone.”

Her first event as a commentator will take place at the Pipa Event Center at Quechan Casino Resort on the Arizona/California border in Winterhaven, California. The show is titled “Road to M-1: USA 2” and will stream on UFC Fight Pass.

VanZant hasn’t fought since her January submission victory over Rachael Ostovich at UFC on ESPN+ 1 in Brooklyn, New York. The victory was a hard-fought, come-from-behind win due to VanZant’s heart and toughness. She rebounded well after a down streak in prior years. VanZant remains one of the most popular UFC fighters due to her appearances on multiple mainstream TV shows.

She’s back on track in the Octagon, a welcome site because she’s dealt with serious injuries as of late. Now, she’s branching out into commentary and will therefore increase her scope of attention. VanZant is proving she’s a woman of many talents, and that seems to be increasing by the day.
