Paige VanZant Flattens Bec Rawlings With Jumping Switch Kick
Fresh off her run on Dancing with the Stars, Paige VanZant (7-2) looked to remind the strawweight division that she’s still a fighter to be taken seriously. Bec Rawlings (7-5) was in search of the biggest win of her career.
“12 Gauge” got the victory in devastating fashion.
VanZant was bouncing around and using her movement early on. She landed a leg kick. Rawlings landed a combination, but soon after took a leg kick. “12 Gauge” pressed Rawlings against the cage and landed a knee to the body. “Rowdy” fought her way out of the position. A knee to the body found the mark for Rawlings. VanZant didn’t land anything of significance until a combination with under 20 seconds left in the round.
“12 Gauge” was aggressive early with a kick to the body. A huge jumping switch kick to the jaw dropped Rawlings and she finished it off with strikes.
