Cain Velasquez: Like Father, Like Son

Undefeated UFC heavyweight Cain Velasquez (8-0-0), defeated former UFC and Pride champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110, cementing his place among the top heavyweights in the world and earning a shot at the division champion Brock Lesnar. The Mexican-American fighter came into the UFC with just two professional fights and less than 18 months of proper mixed martial arts training. On the verge of greatness Velasquez will finally get his shot at the title on October 23rd in Anaheim California.

UFC returns to Australia 2011

The UFC took the octagon action to Australia for the first time this 2010 in february 21with UFC 110. The event was a great success , holding great fights with up rising star Cain Velasquez vs Rodrigo Nogueira and Wanderlei Silva vs Michael Bisping.
The event had great success but not with out being crtized by the media in Australia calling it to violent , but this didnt stop the event itself to be called one great success in the international picture. the UFC has hold events outside the U.S only a few

UFC 116 Steroid Tests

The Nevada state athletic commission has released a report that the fighters that took part at UFC 116 which took place on July 3rd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, have all tested negative for steroids. 
This is good news for fight fans as some of the fighters have a steroid history, Chris Leben tested positive when he fought Michael Bisping and was given a six month suspension.  This was Leben second time fighting in about 2 weeks where he scored an upset third round submission of Akiyama.
