The May 15 UFC event, scheduled for the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA, has picked up another fight, Donald Cerrone versus Yves Edwards.  The fight was announced on Tuesday’s edition of “UFC Tonight,” which airs on Fuel TV.

UFC on FOX 2 Wrap-Up and Bonuses

The UFC held UFC on FOX 2 on Saturday night in Chicago. The event took place in front of a sold out United Center and marked the first time the promotion had held an event in the Chicago area since UFC 90 was held at the Allstate Center in Rosemont, IL. UFC 142: Injury reduces card to 10 fights

The injury hit parade keeps rolling along for the UFC. It was announced today that light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado was forced to withdraw from UFC 142 due to an injury. Maldonado was scheduled to meet Caio Magalhaes on the January 14, fight card. With less than a week to find an opponent for Magalhaes, the UFC decided to remove him from the fight card, leaving the card with 10 fights at this point.

Gabriel Gonzaga set to return at UFC 142

An injury to Rob Broughton has opened the door for a long time UFC veteran to return to the fold. MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Gabriel Gonzaga will replace Broughton at UFC 142. Gonzaga will face Ednaldo Oliveira on the card, which will take place on January 14, at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Thoughts from UFC on Versus 5 and Lowkick.com’s Main Card Awards

I personally didn’t really have the highest of expectations going into the UFC on Versus 5 last night. In my head, I knew this would be a fun card, but I didn’t think it would be as good as it turned out to be.
