The co-main event will feature a Featherweight title clash between division champ Jose Aldo and challenger Mark Hominick, while the legendary Randy Couture will go head to head with top Light Heavyweight contender Lyoto Machida.

Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson and “The Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko could meet as part of a Summer event, according to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker. Although verbal agreements are currently in place, the match-up is not yet official. The main point of contention between the camps has reportedly been the weight at which they would meet.
Muhammed Lawal better known as King Mo is one of the most accomplished freestyle wrestlers to ever make the jump to Mixed Martial Arts. Mo was a Division One NCAA All-American wrestler for Oklahoma State University and at one time was even the number one ranked wrestler in the US in the -96kg division. When the King failed to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympic games, he took his skills from the mat, and applied them to MMA.
He flew to Japan, made his debut at Sengoku 5, and has never looked back since.
The sport of Mixed Martial Arts has seen many great fighters and champions come and go, but only a few have cemented a legacy for the ages. I have selected five fighters, from their own respective divisions, that have not only claimed a title but shaped the sport as well. I did not add the Featherweight or the Bantamweight divisions due to the fact that most casual fans are not aware of their existence, and the divisions are relativity new compared to the five major weight divisions.

Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, who has been sidelined since capturing the title at UFC 121, talks about the progression of his shoulder injury and shares his thoughts on newly crowned Light Heavyweight champ Jon “Bones” Jones. Velasquez says fighting Jones “would be great,” but admits that returning to the octagon still seems “so far away.”
