Holzken has now entered the McGregor raffle…

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been the subject of so much media attention over the last three years, and it doesn’t look to be stopping any time soon. He really came of age with the now infamous 13 second knockout of Jose Aldo at UFC 194, laying out the first and only 145-pound champion until that point with a single well timed punch. It seemed all the talk was now being backed up, as McGregor fulfilled his prophecy of taking the featherweight division by storm.

After laying down the formerly dominant Brazilian like a two dollar hooker on happy hour, ‘The Notorious’ turned his attention to divisions above featherweight, in particular the lightweight category. Rafael dos Anjos was the intended target for UFC 196, but it wasn’t long before the steam train of expectations would come to a grinding halt.

This would prove to be a critical catalyst in the madness that would ensue over the coming months, continuing to this very day.

His stand off following a missed press conference was one scrap that the feisty Irishman could not win, but recent reports indicate his injuries sustained are nothing a band aid and luncheon with Dana White couldn’t fix.

Then of course there’s that whole Floyd Mayweather boxing match, as the former champion of the squared ring and McGregor seemingly play with the media in strange and highly unsubstantiated dance. But the call outs aren’t just limited to the boxing and MMA world for ‘The Notorious.’
