Victor Hugo Submits Nicky Rodriguez via RNC in Overtime – UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10 Highlights

Six-time IBJJF world champion Victor Hugo tapped out Nicky Rodriguez in the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10 headliner on Thursday.
Things got off to a quick start with Hugo almost immediately pulling Rodriguez into his guard while Rodriguez attempted to pass on top. After a brief stalemate, the referee stood the athletes up, but they quickly returned to a very similar position and battled it out on the mat through the end of regulation.

Early in the overtime period, Rodriguez fished for a takedown, but Hugo stuffed his attempts with relative ease. Not long into OT, Rodriguez and Hugo resumed their battle from the top and bottom positions. After another restart from the referee, Hugo managed to take Rodriguez’s back during a scramble, scoring himself six points out of nowhere.

Moments later, Hugo cinched in a rear-naked choke, forcing Rodriguez to tap out and scoring his third FPI victory.

Official Result: Victor Hugo def. Nicky Rodriguez via submission (rear-naked choke) in overtime.
