Nick Diaz Wants To Rematch Anderson Silva Under Pride FC Rules

UFC middleweight Nick Diaz continues to talk trash about his last opponent, Anderson Silva. The two met at UFC 183 on January 31st, and much like the recent showdown between boxing greats Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, the fight failed to live up to the hype.

Even worse were the cascade of failed drug tests, Anderson Silva for steroids, and Nick Diaz for marijuana. The fact that the fight itself was like watching two pubescent teenagers making fun of each other is just the icing on the cake. So why all the recent talk of rematches?

Nick Diaz seems pretty keen:

Silva landed more strikes overall, but do you believe Diaz has a point? The outspoken former Strikeforce champion has been in the game for a long time, but many argue that he and his brother have failed to move with the times. As a result they’ve both suffered numerous losses in recent outings.

Now without a win since defeating BJ Penn in 2011, the future for Diaz is uncertain. The Stockton native would do well to fight someone a little further down the line upon his possible return, if only to get some wins under the belt and regain momentum.
