Wanderlei Silva is quickly turning in to the UFC’s biggest hater….

Former UFC and Pride FC superstar Wanderlei Silva continues his assault on the promotion that he once called home. After years as a fan favorite and champion in Japan, “The Axe Murderer” hit the U.S market with a bang. He became renowned for his aggressive style, and also his highlight reel finishes.

On the surface, Wandy was a company man, but has now become very bitter about the UFC. After drug test controversy led to a lifetime ban in Nevada, Silva called it quits on a legendary career. But the fight wasn’t over for the Brazilian, and this time his opponent was the UFC. Check out the latest in the series of Wanderlei Silva vs the UFC:

“”The other week I was invited to make an appearance for another MMA event (Bellator), I would get paid 10 thousand to sign autographs for 2 hours. 2 days before, I got an email, saying if I made the appearance I would get sued by my former employers (Zuffa). Claiming I’m still under contract, that they own an image that I built with my blood and sweat.”

“Will they pay my bills? If you want me under contract then pay me. So you want to use me until the end but not pay me? This is not right, we can’t live under this kind of control. I am retired, I don’t fight anymore. Are they going to try and sue me every time I use my image?”

Wanderlei Silva is not the only one going through trouble with his bosses, former Pride and UFC opponent Quinton Jackson has had his recent battles too. Wandy shows some class by stating his support for “Rampage” too.

It’s hard to see Silva confined to making videos and threats coming from the UFC. Fighter treatment has been a hot topic for many years, and for MMA this is certainly going to come to a head soon. With the world’s biggest MMA promotion having their back against the wall financially, will unions start coming out of the woodwork?

One thing is for sure, Wanderlei Silva would be a happy man on that day.
