One of the factors that measures the greatness of a fighter is the amount of title fights they’ve competed in. The greatest UFC fighters were always main-eventing the biggest cards either defending or fighting for titles.

Jon Jones(15 Title Fights) 

There is currently a 3-way tie for the most UFC title fights in history, which will be broken within the year. At the top of the list, who will soon be alone in the top spot is UFC GOAT Jon “Bones” Jones.

Jon is the reigning UFC heavyweight champ, who has been considered the best ever for over a decade. There are many accolades that you can look at, which make Jones the best, but this might be the best one.

Fifteen title fights and fifteen victories and counting during his impeccable fighting career. He is currently set to make his return against Stipe Miocic in November of this year.

Georges St Pierre(15 Title Fights) 

The second fighter, who is currently tied with the most UFC title fights is MMA GOAT Georges St Pierre. GSP is at the top of many fighters and fans’ lists as the MMA GOAT and his stats are hard to argue.

In Pierre’s illustrious MMA career, he competed in fifteen title fights and won thirteen of them. Many of these were during his second reign as champion, which is the greatest reign in UFC welterweight history.

Georges is without a doubt one of the all-time greats and his stats prove it.

Randy Couture(15 Title Bouts) 

The third fighter currently tied for the most UFC title fights ever is MMA legend Randy Couture. “The Natural” had one of the greatest MMA careers of all time with fifteen title bouts between two weight divisions.

Within those fifteen title bouts, Randy was a 3x UFC heavyweight champion, 2x Light-Heavyweight champion, and interim Light-Heavyweight champ. Six world titles is an incredible feat, which is why Randy is considered a legend in the sport.

Demetrious Johnson(14 Title Bouts) 

Currently at #2 on the list of the most UFC title fights in history is flyweight GOAT Demetrious Johnson. “Might Mouse” had an incredible run as UFC champ, which was unmatched.

After losing his first title shot at bantamweight, Johnson moved down to win the flyweight title and won 13 straight fights. All incredible performances that were better than the last and many fans feel he didn’t lose to Henry Cejudo.

However, Johnson currently holds the overall MMA title fight record with a current title of eighteen title fights.

Anderson Silva(13 Title Bouts)

Third on the list of fighters with the most UFC title fights is the legendary Anderson Silva. “The Spider” had arguably the most dominant run of any champion in UFC history, where he won 11 of 13 title fights.

If you saw Anderson in his prime during this title reign, you will understand why he’s considered a legend. He was the most feared man in the sport, who terrorized the middleweight division for over six years. 

This all-time run made Silva a unanimous MMA goat.
