Andrei Arlovski vs. Travis Browne Full Fight Video Highlights

UFC heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne squared off on the PPV (pay-per-view) main card at UFC 187 last night (Saturday May 23rd, 2015) and boy, it was a sight to behold. The action was back-and-forth, non stop from the opening bell to the 4:41 mark when the exciting finish materialized. Not many expected this fight to go the distance, but few can honestly say that they expected the pair to put on such a thrilling encounter.

”The Pitbull’ found his groove early on, whistling shots at ‘Hapa’ that had his former Greg Jackson‘s MMA team mate on chicken legs against the fence. Perhaps over excited, Arlovski walked in to a clean and very hard punch from Browne that floored the Belarusian striker. Arlovski was able to dust himself off and survive the onslaught, showing the years of experience as a fighter at an elite level.

Then it was the former heavyweight champion’s turn to crank up the heat, and he did just that. A beautiful straight right hand connected to the head of Browne, and it clearly hurt the Hawaiian. Arlovski smelt the finish and followed up with a barrage of right hands that sent Browne tumbling to the mat. Check out Arlovski’s comments after the fight:

“Man, I was tired. I almost quit, there were so many punches being thrown and I was so tired. I am injured, I hurt my leg during my last workout on Thursday. We finished up training and I told my coach I wanted to go one more round just to test my reactions. We were moving around and he kicked me on the inside of my shin and I got a little cocky and started dancing around and I felt something in my leg. I thought my coach kicked me again so I asked him, but he said no. I really don’t know how it happened, but the UFC doctors were there right away and they took care of me. I’m really grateful for the care they gave me.”

Quite rightly, Arlovski vs. Browne received ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors with the $50K bonus that goes with it. Did somebody say ‘Fight Of The Year’?
