MMA Stars Who Have Made Moves in Crypto Currency
MMA stars of today are getting more savvy about their investments and how to grow their wealth. A lot of top fighters are making moves in crypto currency and are even getting sponsored by crypto casinos.
Here’s a current list of MMA stars who have made moves in crypto currency and in bitcoin casinos. Check out the full list below and consider using a crypto casino when you bet on their next fight.
Elias Theodorou
The late Canadian UFC vet Elias Theodoru was one of the first fighters to break into the crypto and NFT scene. He was also the first UFC fighter to get a medical exemption to medicinally use cannabis.
Before Elias died of cancer, he was building his wealth through crypto and even made his own NFT brand. He helped set the trend and now you can use a list of popular crypto casinos in Canada.
Ben Askren
Ben Askren was one of the original MMA stars who have made moves in crypto currency. The former ONE champion has been on various podcasts from the JRE to Bitcoin Magazine talking about crypto.
Askren got into crypto around 2017 after a friend from Australia was telling him about the currency. Being economically libertarian, Askren was quickly sold on the idea and put big investments into bitcoin and other crypto coins.
One of the main reasons that Ben Askren invested his funds in crypto was his distrust of the Federal Reserve. He has stated many times that he believes bitcoin is the future and that he’s going to hold on for life.
Renato Moicano
One of the current top MMA stars who have made moves into crypto currency is Renato Moicano. The Brazilian UFC vet has often requested that the UFC give him his bonuses in bitcoin.
Moican’s line of thinking was that he preferred getting his bonus in bitcoin, because of the earning potential. Depending on the market, Renato believes in the long run that BTC’s value will rise faster than the dollars he receives.
It’s going to be interesting to see if Renato will keep requesting payments in BTC and other crypto in the future. Maybe he’ll even get sponsorship deals from some of the top bitcoin casinos.
Darren Till
A few years ago, Darren Till became one of the more known MMA stars who have made moves in crypto currency. The type of crypto Till was most into was into NFTs.
Till was sponsored by an NFT/crypto company called Blockasset. The company even made a series of NFTs of Till, but unfortunately none of them gained any value.
Maybe Till can try to get some of his money back a certified crypto casino.
Khamzat Chimaev
Khazmat Chimaev is another one of the MMA stars who have made moves in crypto currency. He was associated with the Blockasset group along with Darren Till that went under.
Chimaev had his own NFT along with Till, which was called “Smesh brothers.” The UFC title contender later claimed that the entire business was a scam and nothing he wanted to be involved in.
