Glory World Series held their First 16 event in Stockholm Sweden, featuring an international card of the world’s top kickboxers in the 70 kg weight class. Fights on the first 16 card were won by Shemsi Beqiri, Robin van Roosmalen, Tim Thomas, David Kyria, Ky Hollenbeck, Sanny Dahlbeck, Albert Kraus and Giorgio Petrosyan. These 8 fighters will face each other in the quarterfinals.

Weigh-ins were held this morning for the Glory World Series (GWS) First 16 Event in Stockholm Sweden for tomorrow’s event. GWS First 16 boasts an assemblage of the biggest names in the kickboxing world including Georgio Petrosyan, Robin van Roosmalen, Nieky Holzkein and Gokhan Saki. It was announced today that Badr Hari and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic will both return to the K-1 arena  as part of the May 27 K-1 Rising 2012. K-1 Global and It’s Showtime sign multi-year deal

K-1 has been purchased by a Mr. Mike Kim and rechristened as K-1 Global. Today It’s Showtime announced that they had signed a deal with the new K-1 Global organization.
It’s Showtime issued a press release about the deal, which stated that many fighters from their organization had signed contracts with the company and that they all received signing bonuses of 50 percent of the money that was owed to them from FEG, the former owners of K-1.
