Miguel Cotto vs. Daniel Geale Full Fight Video Highlights

Former four-weight boxing champion Miguel Cotto continues his rise back to prominence, as he defeats Daniel Geale in dominant fashion. The WBC, Lineal and Ring middleweight champion defeated Geale by fourth round TKO. The former welterweight champ looked a class above the ex-middleweight champion, slumping him with a massive left hook to the chin and getting the job done with another flurry when the gutsy Australian made it back to his feet.

When asked if he wanted to continue, Geale said no and the referee had no choice but to call the fight a TKO victory for a jubilant Cotto. ”Junito’ looked over the hill after straight decision losses to Floyd Mayweather and Austin Trout, but certainly seems rejuvenated in his latest bouts. That being said, Sergio Martinez wasn’t exactly in the best of shape when they fought last year.

After the big win against Geale, Cotto claimed that a showdown with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is next. The former middleweight champion Alvarez is on a hot streak since his first professional loss to Floyd Mayweather, and the 24-year old made quick work of James Kirkland with a nasty third round knockout last month (May 2015)

So with Miguel Cotto vs Saul Alvarez being heavily rumoured, should the winner face Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin, or will the heavy handed ‘Good Boy’ become one of the most ducked fighters in boxing history?

Either way, watch Miguel Cotto smash Daniel Geale above.
