Michael Bisping Shocks The World, Wins UFC Title By Knockout

Almost 10 years since his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut, Michael Bisping (29-7) finally got his shot at middleweight gold when he met Luke Rockhold (15-3) at The Forum in Inglewood, CA for UFC 199.

“The Count” finally realized his dream in stunning fashion.

A push kick from Rockhold backed Bisping off in the early going. The challenger threw out a jab. “The Count” blocked a high kick. A straight left found the mark for the champion. A kick to the body connected for Bisping. Rockhold landed a straight left hand. Out of nowhere, Bisping stunned Rockhold with a left hand over the top. Rockhold was tagged with another left hand and followed up with some more punches. Referee John McCarthy had seen enough and a new champion was crowned.
