Michael Bisping Disagrees With “Butthurt” Fighters Behind UFC Lawsuit

Michael Bisping had hard feelings towards Cung Le long before the UFC lawsuit…..

It’s been another crazy week for the UFC, in what has turned out to be an unexpected year for the world’s larget MMA organization. The recent news that a class action lawsuit was being announced against the UFC got us all buzzing, and it was no shock to learn who it was behind the suit.

The UFC said they will ‘vigorously’ oppose the lawsuit  against their business practices, but it’s clear how most feel about current UFC pay and conditions. It’s fair to say that most people think fighters should be rewarded more for their efforts, although brash UFC middleweight Michael Bisping say’s quite the contrary.

During the recent episode of “UFC Tonight”, Bisping makes light of his opinion on the UFC lawsuit, and more specifically the fighters behind it:

“Let me break it down; You got three disgruntled ex-fighters and their careers didn’t pan out the way they wanted it to,” Bisping said, “So guess what? They’re suing the UFC.”

That’s about as blunt a reaction as you can get, especially from a fighter. Perhaps “The Count” doesn’t see it from the perspective of the lower tier fighters due to his continued success, or maybe his statement is a jab at Cung Le. The former Strikeforce champion suffered a nasty TKO loss to Bisping at UFC Fight Night 48, and the beef hasn’t really settled between the two since.

Following a long and storied drug test controversy after fighting “The Count”, Le requested a release from his UFC contract in favor of fighting for Bellator. Perhaps Bisping, the consummate company man, is helping degrade the image of the promotion’s arguably strongest opposition in the UFC lawsuit? Is he actually turning his back on his fellow fighter, in particular guys at the bottom of the food chain, to help the UFC image?
