Michael Bisping: I Ain’t Jon Jones, I Say What’s On My Mind
UFC middleweight contender Michael Bisping is renown for being one of the biggest trash-talkers in mixed martial arts and according to “The Count”; none of it is fake.
Bisping is set to face off against former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold later on this year and the pair have exchanged heated words already. In a recent interview with Submission Radio, The Ultimate Fighter season 3 winner said he enjoys winding up his future opponent and wouldn’t like to be “one of those guys” who don’t say what is really on his mind.
The 35-year old used light-heavyweight champion and pound-for-pound king Jon Jones as an example:
“I get under (Rockhold’s) skin and I tell you what, I get such a kick out of it ’cause I just know his blood is boiling, and I love it. Of course it’s more fun to sit here and say what’s on your mind as opposed to being one of those guys that’s, you know, just trying to say the right thing. You know I ain’t Jon Jones, you know what I mean? What you see is what you get. No offense to Jon Jones, he’s a nice guy. But people kinda say he’s fake and this and that. I’ve always found Jon to be a very nice guy, but with me, certainly you can’t accuse me of that. I certainly say what’s on my mind, unfortunately.”
You cannot deny that.
Since his debut in the Octagon, back at the TUF 3 finale in 2006, Bisping has been has vocal as he is today which has turned him into one of the most notorious fighters competing in the UFC.
Rockhold and Bisping had another heated exchange earlier this month in Australia, which nearly resulted in a scuffle, while promoting their bout in the main event of UFC Fight Night 55. Their dislike for each other is unquestionably real.
