Matt Mitrione vs. Shawn Jordan Added To TUF: China Final Card

Kazuki Tokudome2The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s expansion in to the Asian market in 2014 could mark a new era for the sport of MMA. The first all-Asian series of TUF and more eastern events will help provide exposure to an audience that is already in love with the sport.

Already set to be headlined by John Hathaway vs. Dong Hyun Kim, The TUF: China finals gets three more fights added to it’s line up. First off is a Heavyweight showdown between TUF season 10 alum Matt Mitrione and Jackson’s Shawn ‘The Savage’ Jordan.

Mitrione is 1-3 in recent times, last seen getting choked out by Brendan Schaub at UFC 165 and will likely be fighting for his job. Jordan is fresh off a KO loss to Gabriel at 166 and could possibly land in hot water if he were to drop two on the bounce.

Also added to the card is a Featherweight attraction between Ivan Menjivar and Hatsu Hioki. Menjivar is riding a two fight skid, whereas Hioki is two years winless. 2-3 for the company overall, Hioki will need to win big at the finals. The Canadian veteran Menjivar will also have his back against the wall after recent losses to Wilson Reis and Urijah Faber.

The next match added is former Road FC champ Nam Yui Chul in a Lightweight battle against Kazuki Tokudume. ‘KT’ debuted at UFC 162, losing a UD to Norman Parke and will look to topple Chul in his second scrap. Here is how the card looks thus far:
