Matt Mitrione Calls Out Browne For November, Gets No Response
UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione has been campaigning tirelessly for a fight in recent months, all to no avail. ‘Meathead’ is currently in a state of limbo after a submission loss to Ben Rothwell snapped his killer three fight knockout spree in the division, and has recently taken to calling out fellow unbooked heavyweight Travis Browne over social media. It seems ‘Hapa’ hasn’t been taking much notice of Mitrione’s requests either.
With most of the heavyweights tied up in scheduled fights at the moment, ‘Meathead’ has limited options, check out his latest Tweet to Travis Browne:
I’m hoping they let @travisbrowneMMA get his wish! @lorenzofertitta @danawhite and I fight in November! https://t.co/AXQoR7Elns

Mitrione first called out Browne just days after his last loss in the octagon, and that was two months ago now. The rumour recently was that ‘Hapa’ was also interested in the bout, but ‘Meathead’ tells ‘Three Amigos podcast’ via BloodyElbow.com that he hasn’t heard anything from the heavy Hawaiian:
As of right now, if you guys are interested in me, I have no fight yet, whatsoever. Travis Browne was saying he wanted to fight me, so Travis Browne, what’s up? I’ve been tweeting you all the time, little buddy, and I haven’t gotten a single response, and you haven’t responded to any of the fans that have been retweeting and commenting either, so Travis Browne, what’s up with the what’s up?
The former NFL New York Giant is no doubt popular with a good following, so what is the hold up in getting him a fight? Indeed with most of the match-worthy opponents locked up in bookings it isn’t a simple task, but he’s been asking for a fight for over two months now.
