Matt Hughes looking at UFC return will let Dana White make the final decision

The last time we saw UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes in the Octagon he was waking up and asking what happened after being knocked out by Josh Koscheck at UFC 135. Following that fight Hughes said he was asking that the UFC “put him on a shelf” for a while.

It seems as if it has gotten a little lonely for the former UFC Champion up on that shelf as Hughes is thinking about getting back in the mix.  During an interview on Fuel TV, Hughes had the following to say, “I think Dana could be the final decision maker. My wife’s a great lady, but she’s not going to tell me when Matt Hughes retires.” As far as when he would be ready to go, Hughes again deferred to the UFC President, “Soon as this old body can get back in shape I would love to get back in there, that’s another question that he’ll answer for me.”
