Mark Hunt’s Right Hand Stops Antonio Silva In First Round

ufc fight night 65

No doubt about it this time.

The first bout between Mark Hunt (11-10-1) and Antonio Silva (19-8-1) ended in a draw. Nearly two years later, they met again at UFC 193 in Australia. This time, “The Super Samoan” made sure the judges wouldn’t play a role in the final result.

Both men seemed tentative in the early going and looking to time a home run shot. Hunt went for a punch to the body, but it was blocked. Hunt landed a hard body kick. “The Super Samoan” connected with a leg kick, but “Bigfoot” eventually returned the favor. Hunt dropped Silva with a right hand that landed just behind the ear and the fight was over.
