Before becoming a UFC champion, GSP earned a Bachelor’s in kinesiology in Montreal, Quebec.

Chuck Liddell

Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell was one of the most exciting knockout artists in MMA history. As a teen, Chuck was a gifted athlete, who practiced Kempo Karate and earned a scholarship through wrestling.

The Iceman wrestled and attended classes at Cal Poly Tech University. He ended up earning a Bachelor’s in business/accounting in 1995. A short time later, Chuck started his fighting career and the rest was history.

Frank Mir

Frank Mir

Frank Mir was one of the youngest UFC champions in history, who was known for his world class grappling. What many might not know is that Mir was a black belt in Kempo Karate before he got into grappling.

To add to his successes, Frank later became one of the few Karate athletes with college degrees. Before retiring from fighting, Mir attended Ball State University and earned a journalism degree in 2016.

Benny Urquidez

Benny “The Jet” Urquidez is a former kickboxing champion, who was a pioneer of combat sport. Urquidez was heavily influential in early kickboxing events, which helped the sport grow globally.

The Jet also found the time to earn his education by earning a Bachelor’s in physical education.
