Justin Gaethje Sends Warning To Edson Barboza

Justin Gaethje sends a warning to Edson Barboza heading into their fight. The two lightweight stars are slated to meet in the headliner of this weekend’s UFC Philadelphia.

The former WSOF champion is known for putting on some exciting fights, and that’s the mindset that he wants Barboza to have when coming into this bout. Gaethje was able to pick up the first-round KO win over James Vick in the main event of August’s UFC Lincoln in his latest fight.

While doing a recent interview, Gaethje made it known that Barboza needs to have the mindset that this will be a tough fought battle inside of the Octagon.

“I go in there to create car crashes so that makes sense,” Gaethje said to MMAWeekly.com.“You’ve just got to prepare your mind, body soul for what you have to go in there and go through. Both the guys that beat me went through absolute hell.”

“Right now, my life doesn’t exist after March 30,” Gaethje said. “There’s such a clusterf—k at the top right now that all I can do is go out there have impressive performances, cause ultimately you have to win but it’s also how you win. At the end of the day, I have to win this fight. A loss here is not good. I think a brutal win over Edson Barboza does absolutely tremendous things for me.”

UFC Philadelphia (also known as UFC on ESPN 2) is set to take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
